上面这条语句就包含了很多四六级知识点。

首先，咱们来拆分一下语句的本体：

本句的主干是interest has roots。in sign lanuag为interest的后置短语；at Gallaudet University in Washington D.C.为地点及物动词；the world's only liberal arts…为Gallaudet University in Washington D.C.的同位语。

这句话里面的中长期词是pioneering，此意思是“开创病态的，鼻祖的”。
